Is Your DIY Wedding Plan Actually Ready? Why AI Isn't Enough on Its Own

Artificial intelligence has become a genuinely useful tool for couples planning their own weddings. It can generate checklists, suggest timelines, help organize a budget, brainstorm décor ideas, and answer questions at midnight when no one else is available.
Those are all good things.
But planning a wedding isn't just about creating a plan. It's about creating a plan that actually works on a real day, in a real place, with real people who don't always follow a script.
That's the gap my AI Wedding Plan Review is designed to fill.
What Is an AI Wedding Plan Review?
It's exactly what it sounds like. If you've been using AI tools, online planning resources, or your own careful research to build your wedding plan, this service gives you the opportunity to have an experienced, credentialed wedding planner review what you've created before your wedding day arrives.
I'm not here to take over. I'm not here to tell you everything you've done wrong. I'm here to look at your plan with the perspective that comes from years of working real weddings, and to help you identify anything that could cause unnecessary stress before it has the chance to.
Think of it as inviting someone who has seen a lot of wedding days to walk through yours with you, while there's still time to adjust.
What AI Does Really Well
To be clear: AI is a capable planning assistant. It can pull together information quickly, help you think through categories you might have missed, and give you a starting framework when you're not sure where to begin.
For couples who are organized, motivated, and working with a realistic budget, AI-assisted DIY wedding planning can be a smart approach. There's nothing wrong with using every tool available to plan your day well.
The challenge isn't that AI isn't helpful. The challenge is that AI organizes information. Experience applies judgment.
What AI Can't Do
Here's where things get important.
AI hasn't been to your venue. It doesn't know that your ceremony space and reception area require guests to navigate a gravel path, or that your cocktail hour location has limited shade in the afternoon, or that parking is more complicated than the venue's website suggests. An experienced planner notices those things and builds them into your plan.
AI doesn't know what a wedding day actually feels like. A timeline can look perfectly reasonable on paper and still fall apart by 3:00 PM. Real wedding days have natural delays. Guests move slowly. Hair and makeup take longer than expected. A vendor runs behind. A plan without built-in breathing room isn't really a plan. It's an optimistic schedule.
AI can't account for the people involved. Family dynamics, vendor personalities, the specific needs of your wedding party — these are the human elements that no planning tool can fully anticipate. After working many weddings, an experienced planner develops a feel for where things tend to go sideways and how to quietly prevent them from doing so.
AI can't step in when real life happens. When something unexpected comes up on your wedding day, and something always does, you need more than a document. You need judgment, experience, and someone who has navigated that kind of moment before.
Who This Service Is For
My AI Wedding Plan Review is a good fit for couples who:
Have done most or all of their own wedding planning, with or without AI tools
Feel fairly confident in their plans but want a professional perspective before the day arrives
Would love the peace of mind that comes from knowing an experienced planner has reviewed their work
Aren't looking for full-service planning but would genuinely benefit from focused, expert feedback
Whether you've planned with AI, built your own spreadsheets, or filled a binder with handwritten notes, you've put real effort into this. This service is designed to honor that effort and help make sure it holds up.
What I Look for When Reviewing Your DIY Wedding Plan

When I review your wedding plan, I'm looking at things like:
Your timeline. Does it reflect how a real wedding day actually moves? Is there enough flexibility built in for normal delays?
Your vendor logistics. Are arrival times, setup windows, and transitions realistic? Are there any gaps or conflicts?
Your venue flow. Are there logistical details specific to your space that your plan doesn't account for?
Your ceremony and reception structure. Are there moments where things could stall, overlap, or feel rushed?
Friend and family roles. If you have loved ones stepping in to handle tasks a vendor would typically manage, I'll flag where backup plans may be worth having. People want to show up for you, and life still happens.
Potential blind spots. The things that are easy to miss when you're planning from the inside.
After the review, you'll have specific, practical feedback. Not a generic checklist, but observations and suggestions tailored to your actual plan.
A Note on Credentials
I'm a Master Certified Wedding Planner and Coordinator and a Certified Wedding Design Consultant, with many years of experience planning and coordinating real weddings. I've seen what works, what doesn't, and what tends to quietly derail an otherwise well-planned day.
That experience is what I bring to every review. Not judgment. Perspective.
You've Already Done the Hard Work
You've invested your time, your energy, and a lot of care into planning a day that matters. My goal isn't to replace any of that.
It's to help you walk into your wedding day feeling genuinely confident, knowing that your plan has been reviewed by someone who has seen enough real weddings to know what to look for.
AI is an excellent planning assistant. It just isn't a replacement for experience.
Curious Whether This Is the Right Fit for You?
